Due to continued growth and expansion we are delighted to welcome Natalie Layfield to the team.  Natalie will be based at our head office and her main duties will include looking after our growing instructor team and customer services.

Natalie has a strong background in customer care and we are confident that she will be a valued member of the team and that her experience in previous roles will be a huge benefit to the company.

Congratulations go once again to Steve Flower (Managing Director) of Key Driver Training on his outstanding success today at his routine ORDIT inspection.  Sadly the inspection was slightly overdue because last month Steve was not well and so the inspection had to be rescheduled, but after bouncing back to full health he has delivered another first class session.

As part of our ORDIT status all of our trainers are inspected every other year, as are our offices and our part 1 classroom sessions.

Today saw double celebrations because both Steve Flower and Linda Edwards (Director of Training) were also inspected giving a part one classroom session - yet another success story with the examiner giving nothing but praise after the session.

Speaking later in the day Steve commented “Although I don’t personally get involved with the training side of the business these days (other than classroom sessions), it is important to me to know that as the Managing Director of the company I still maintain the same high standards of professional knowledge and capability so that when I speak with customers and potential customers they can be reassured that they are dealing with a professional company and receiving good honest advice from someone who knows their stuff rather than just a salesman or businessman.  Today’s inspection has enabled me to demonstrate my abilities and knowledge yet again and this can only be a reassurance to our customers”

Congratulations go to Linda Edwards (Director of Training) following on from yet another highly succesful bi-annual ORDIT (Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers) inspection. Linda, who looks after our Drving Instructor Training team, achieved the highly acclaimed “Grade 6″ for every aspect of the inspection which is a rare and truly outstanding result.

It has always been a policy of Key Instructor Training to ensure that the training we deliver is world class and this achievement is a fantastic reassurance for our customers that we are maintaining this constant high standard.  Linda is involved in much of the Part 1,2, & 3 training for many of our clients and she is also solely responsible for the training and development of all of our trainers.  Todays’ result means that anyone considering training to become a driving instructor can relax in the knowledge that they are in safe hands with Key!

We are delighted to introduce Renault cars to the Key fleet!  We are keen to do our bit for the environment and renault have impressed us so much with their contribution towards preventing global warming that we had to find out more.  Since 1996 the Renault manufacturing plant  have decreased energy consumption by 25%, water useage by 57%, and waste by a whopping 65%.  With the launch of the ECO2 range of engines their cars also are far better for the envorinment.  The Megane’s and Clio’s will be joining our fleet over the coming months.  The Renault Megane model that we have ordered produces just 117g/KM of CO2 and the new diesel engine provides an average of 62.8 mpg meaning more economy too! We will be poised with the camera as the first delivery roll off the wagons later this month!
